Just a little tease of a trip me and Chelsea are about to take. You can kinda get an Idea of the route we plan to take from the picture above. We leave soon and I’m very excited. If you could travel anywhere in the world where would it be? Let me know.
Me and Chelsea made a 8 hour trip down to Dover Fl. (right outside Tampa) to spend some time and help Chelsea’s sis Chris with her newborn (1 of twins) Noah. Me and Noah spent most of the day eating, napping, and farting. Well, that’s what his day was like. I just got to hold him the whole time. I’m looking forward to the week ahead. :)
I made this way back in the day. I must have been in the 9th or 10th grade. This is what I did for most of my childhood. I think since the age of 15 I had a video camera near by. I really need to pick it back up. Please enjoy this as much as I did making it.
is being spent in the hospital with my wife watching over her grandmother Nana. Surprisingly it’s been one of the best days and a very different way to start off my summer vacation. That is to say,one would normally think of summer vacation as freedom from a school schedule, a time that you get to dictate as you see fit on tasks and activities of your liking. I’m here, with my wife, sleeping in a hospital and it’s been one of the best days.
Nana is fine by the way. :) She had somewhat of a stroke with no damage. She will do a few test in the morning and hopefully be out of here by the end of the day. I’ve known Nana about as long as I’ve known Chelsea and she is adorable.
It’s been laughs all day.
I’m not sure who said anything about sleeping in hospitals not being enjoyable but I think it’s great. I know the circumstances really could make or break the experience but if you are able to make light of what’s going on it’s just liking camping but with people trying to give you meds and blood thinning shots.
This is Chelsea sleeping on her love seat/bed. I’m on the recliner that reclines all the way back. I’m 6 ft 2in and i’m fitting pretty well. I want to meet the man* who makes hospital furniture. (Crap I just got chocolate in my keyboard. See told you I was camping.)
Well I think it’s time for sleep.
* For anyone bothered by my assumption of a “man” inventing hospital furniture and thinking me sexist I can prove this statement true. Upon entering the room one would find only one pillow. If a woman’s hand was in the design there would have been pillows on the chair and pillows on the love seat. I would also bet that the same womanly design would have found a way to put pillows on the window seal. If one is in doubt still please come to my house, there one would find proof of this. :)
Thanks Google for being awesome.
before I go to bed I wanted to do a post. I’m working on a new layout for my blog. I didn’t want to go crazy with it but I want something a little more personal. Let me know what you think. I’m adding more to the background image in Photoshop.
I drew Mr. Bunny here for my Alice in Wonderland book project. I like him.

Please please please go and check this guy out. He is funny and uplifting and all around bald. I got swept in by his videos he made when he went to Korea to adopt his son. I was in tears at some points. If you do RSS feeds subscribe to his one. If he looks familiar he is the same guy who has been pretty popular lately from the internet video of the dad telling his son he could not be a single lady.

When leaving the house to go to Troy Fest I spotted something in the corner of my eye.
The clock is counting down till the end of the semester and trying to squeeze everything I have to do before that time is up is going to be hard. I was hoping blogging down some thoughts could get my head focused.
Life is too good for words right now. Despite everything that gets thrown in our path, nothing has compared to how evident God has been watching over me and Chelsea. We have started a photography and graphic design business Called Details: Photo + Design and with little effort we have taken off pretty strong. He have no business cards and no formal advertisement other than word of mouth and we have made enough money to need a business license. I have a wonderfully talented wife whom I’ve seen push herself (and me at many times (: ) to do something that most people would blow off as being something one is not capable of. She really helps me reach a potential I’ve not seen in myself.
I add my design skill into the mix and together we complement each other in our lacking areas of knowledge as far software goes. She stronger on Photoshop than I am and skilled in InDesign and Illustrator.
Please visit her blog for Details: Photo+Design. There is a link on the left side called “My Wife’s Blog”
On a different note, Troy is not a fun place. Me and Chels are not thrilled to be here but we are making it work for us. We have attended every church in town it seems and have not found our place. We usually attend Chelsea’s home church back in Dothan but lately with school and other reason have not been able to make the drive. This is important to us and we feel we have a lot of wisdom, love and time to offer to a community. Helping someone or someones who can not help themselves in a given situation is one of the most wonderful feelings in the world. Giving in this manner is showing others the face and love of a savior.
I was right. Blogging help my mind free up some space. Thank you all who decide to read and be a part of me and Chelsea’s life. Once I realize that this blogging thing is a lot more awesome then I give it credit, there will be more awesome to give credit to.
